the title says it all. awhile ago,i was dealing with something that truly changed my outlook on who i meet in the future. so in my poetry class, we had an assignment to write a poem about an ex boyfriend/girlfriend. so using my situation, i pulled at the strings that were holding my heart together and opening up the wound i so carefully healed. thank god i love to write, because expressing the way i felt, was a good way of venting for me. here it is:
Words you utter
Sting like an angry bee
Sending poison into my veins
Pain shot throughout my body
Each word leaving it mark on my skin
Smile on your face
What once was sweet
Now turned sour
Come and gone
Like the warm summer sun
Overshadowed by autumn’s chill breeze
Clouds descend
Casting its shadow
A frivolous romance
Evolving into a true love
Slowly the winter cold settles in
As I struggle to repair
A broken soul
Damaged by you

- i believe that this space cannot absolutely contain all that is about me. so i'll describe myself in a few sentences. my life as of right now is at a turning point. do i decide to do what i believe is something that i was destined for? or do i follow the path that was meant for me to follow? the path that was carefully molded just for me to timidly journey along? from my dreams to the insurmountable but unintentional pressure i receive from my parents, i chose to live its day to the fullest and hope that watever path i do follow, will be the right one for me.
